- Interpret descriptive statistics in business applications.
- Apply probability methods to business situations.
- Solve business application problems involving random variables.
- Solve business application problems using the standard normal probability distribution.
The course will consist of 7 modules that will be available in a self-paced format. The PROPEL structure is listed below and will be repeated in each module. Each module will require 1-3 hours to complete; however, students will have the opportunity to exempt themselves from modules via the pretest; therefore, it is anticipated that most students will complete the course in 5-10 hours.
Prove it (pre-test): could exempt student from module content with a minimum score
Relate it: connect the topic to business applications based on a company scenario threaded through all the topic areas
Obtain it: self-paced, interactive instruction in the topic and subtopic content
Ponder it: apply the content to the company in the scenario
Establish it: summary and review of the topic and subtopic content
Level it (post-test): topic evaluation
Certify it (final assessment): after completing all modules, the student can earn a course certificate with successful completion of the final assessment.
